In this exciting session, your kids will roll up their sleeves and learn how to make shortcrust pastry from scratch. With this versatile dough, they’ll whip up both a sweet and a savoury pie—delicious treats that they’ll be proud to take home! What will they be learning? This class is packed with skills to help your young chef build confidence in the kitchen, including: Mastering shortcrust pastry Essential cooking techniques Basic knife skills and cuts Kitchen professionalism: timing, cleanliness, and organisation Food safety The importance of using local, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients Do they need to bring anything? Nothing but enthusiasm! We’ll provide everything they need, though we kindly ask you to send them with a reusable container for any leftovers they’d like to take home. Do they get to eat what they make? Absolutely! After the session, your junior chefs will get to sit down and savour their freshly baked sweet and savoury pies. Where is the class held? In our brand-new, fully-equipped kitchen in Naxxar. What age is this for? This pie-making adventure is open to kids aged 8 and up. How long is the session? 2 hours of pastry-making, pie-baking fun!
