Looking to throw a little get together but want to keep it light, fresh and stress-free? We will show you little tricks that will make entertaining a breeze but have your guests thinking it took you hours in the kitchen. Drawing upon flavours from the Middle East and the Mediterranean, each dish will highlight how beautiful and satisfying vegetables can be if treated in the right way. A colourful feast of dishes to include butternut squash with harissa and sumac, labne balls, baked filo pie, a vibrant crunchy salad with an orange blossom dressing, crackers, baba ganoush, and marinated olives. Certain elements of the dishes will be demonstrated by our chef instructors to compliment the final spread that participants will be preparing. What will I learn? Prepare vegetables in a variety of ways to enhance their flavour Prepare a spread of vegetable dishes that can be eaten as a spread or alone Balance a spread of food to include dishes with different textures, temperatures and flavours Make dressings that pack a punch Use fresh ingredients and an array of spices to lift any dish to a different level Perform basic knife cuts and techniques Apply kitchen professionalism: timing, cleanliness and organization Do I need to bring anything with me? We do recommend you bring a reusable container along with you. Other than this we will provide you with an apron as well as all the ingredients, and equipment needed for the duration of the session. Will we get time to eat what food we’ve cooked? Yes, you are welcome to have a glass of wine and enjoy your meal. Although you’re equally welcome to take your dish home with you to delight family and friends. *Ingredients indicated above may change according to product seasonality and availability.
